Tick Tock on further Listed Success
Adam Durrant's got himself another rising superstar with Viscount filly Tick Tick Bloom, she is the nominal public elect at $1.70 and it seems as though it's Tick Tock on another Listed Success. Durrant has rated her above last years boom filly Summah's Touch who amassed $300 000 in stakes money before being retired to stud. She absolutely thundered down the outside on a rain soaked track over a mile in the Guineas to score an incredible eye-catching last to first victory. Looks very, very hard to knock off here with any sort of luck in running. Has won 3 in a row and steps up to 2000m for the first time in her career which looks an ideal journey. Has Listed success to her name already and with a 50% winning strike rate and an undefeated record on both Slow and Dead rated tracks she will be running for most punters. Dabang, a half-sister to Strickland Stakes winner Fancy Feet should eat up the ground and provide tough opposition to the favourite. Was just getting warm over the final 300m suggesting the extra two furlongs would be to her liking. Star of Husson is 2100m winner where she pulled away to beat Redwood Rose by 3.5 lengths. If the rain stays away she will impove sharply on her 9th in the Guineas, didn't seem to handle the rain affected track and will appreciate better, dryer conditions. Carbery picks up the ride on a Husson filly with genuine staying ability who was touted as the likely Oaks/Classic favourite only a month ago before Tick Tick Bloom burst onto the scene. Anything in double figures is good eachway shopping. Midnight Shimmer is another from the Grant Williams stable, rock-hard fit after a tough, grinding Guineas effort, she'll be right in the mix again.
