Taking the field in the opening leg of the quaddie, anything could win this. I've put Maybe Next Year on top, only won the 3 races and they were all at Geraldton, recent form reads beaten 9.5 and beaten 4 legnths at Carnarvon but I think third up and back onto the grass the Husson Lightning gelding can improve sharply. This isn't an overly strong bunch and I think we'll be seeing 100-1. I think he is a capable enough stayer when fit, question is how long will that take? Black Royale is just about ready. He is an out and out stayer and will be in the finish. Street Bandit continues to finish in the money and why wouldn't you have a places ticket on the most popular horse in WA?
