Caller Craig Morrison is going to have to be on his toes with both (1) BLITZ'EM and (3) BLITZEM SOMEDAY lining up in the first leg of the quaddie, and we believe this race is set up nicely for the Shane Quilty-trained three-year-old (3) BLITZEM SOMEDAY. Ascot-based Quilty does not mind travelling his horses, having enjoyed plenty of success in Geraldton this season, and (3) BLITZEM SOMEDAY looks likely to make his first Great Southern trip for the season a successful one. Formlines out of his Belmont 8/10/14 debut are super and he looked the goods when winning a Lark Hill 9/02 trial. The danger appears to be another visitor in the form of (5) MUSTALK, who was well fancied at his Belmont 14/05/14 debut but had obviously come to the end of his preparation and didnt perform. (5) MUSTALK showed good acceleration to win a Lark Hill 16/02 trial and we expect him to be strong at the finish of this. (8) MONTANA SKY led them up first-up at Geraldton 15/02, getting a little weary late but she should strip fitter for this assignment. (2) BARNEY BEAU has always promised a lot, hailing from one of WAs best families, but has so far failed to deliver. Did win a Bunbury 13/02 trial, however, and is worth including in your first fours.
