Her last preparation was excellent, winning first up and then contesting the Listed Jungle Mist for Fillies and Mares over 1200m where she finished within a length of Rouge Dior beating the likes of Baleen in Me, Celebrity Miss, Mendicity, Red Hot Sax, Takanori and Passion Cantata; the quality of horse that most of these have never come across. In all honesty and without any offence this field is mainly midweek and provincial types who get a rare crack at Saturday company. Dark Rock has dropped 7 ratings points from a metro74 to a metro67 meaning that she will carry a very managable 57.5 in this event. Drawn perfectly in barrier 4 to sit over the speed and control the race she gets a chance to return to the winners enclosure and record her first career victory at Belmont Park. Korenica is a barrier rogue who can get very angry and unsettled behind the gates. Pike jumps aboard and she will be rattling home if there is a genuine tempo upfront. Because I Said put in a lack lustre performance first up after being well supported in the market, Ben Kennedy gave her the run of the race in the Richie Bell special 'one out, one back' but she was very disappointing. Can bounce back second up and expecting her to be well in the market again. Futurism, Angel Wing and Miss Meyet are the other runners who are likely to feature in the first leg of my quaddie.
