McFlirt in the wet

Shooey looks to be getting better and better with age and his fast finishing third to True Storm first-up from a freshen up was sensational. The top end speed is hot with Regal Romp and Aerozine likely to run them along setting the race up nicely for Shooey to pounce. Can settle closer to the leaders drawn in barrier 3 and this looks very winnable. The forecast is for rain and many will be highly attracted to the McFlirt stock who are born with flippers. Regal Romp is the value horse in the race for mine. Had two months off and is very well weighted after the claim for noted front running hoop Emma Stent. If Regal Romp can cross Aerozine and find the fence it makes $4 the place highly attractive. Nightingale Road is a sharp get back sprinter, conditions are unlikely to suit but can't dismiss after a 1.5 length third to Benito in the Thunderbolt at Ascot.

It's the old human error trick again...Surely some checks and balances can be done on these things before they happen ? Like how about somebody just having a quick glance at the official semaphore board and make sure it's showing the right numbers...can't be t...

This may sound unbelievable but is what actually happened. The judges misread the number on the horse that came third (the colours as well) confusing 5 and 15. They ended up declaring them both 3rd, despite Blue Palace finishing near the rear of the field. Oh ...
