Stagnite has only been beaten twice in six starts, in the Breeders Stakes in a crack field, and by the winter revelation in Rock Magic, nothing of that class in this field here so it does suggest Stagnite will be very hard to hold out today. The draw is perfect, he is down a little in weight from his previous start, should strip fitter at his third run this campaign, has William Pike on board again and should top off a great week for trainer Sharon Miller who won the Hannans on Wednesday. He simply looks a class above this opposition today. Almachino ran a very nice race last Saturday when second to Kheleva, this mare is in very consistent form at present and deserves a change of luck shortly, she is a definate novelty bet in this race. Full Clip has been going well also, winning his last two starts and is another who should fill a place once again here, and Mendicity can mix her form a little but at her best is a nice type, fair to say they may all well be struggling to beat Stagnite home though.
