Thinking today is the day for Bayatorio. His recent efforts have been very servicable and if he can safely step away from the barriers and not find himself 2 lengths last after 20m then with The Pontiff in the saddle I think he can win this. My biggest questionmark to date, as previously noted in other previews, is that he is yet to win beyond 1400m and is yet to salute the judge at Ascot after 16 attempts. His last victory was at Belmont as a 3 year old in 2014, a fair old dry spell. However, Paul Harvey gets stayers going and his engagement has convinced me that Bayatorio can win this. Super consistent and a places lock for any multiple players I think he is worth an eachway investment. Will settle a few lengths back off the speed but probably has the best turn of foot of any of these gallopers at 2150 and like Outlaw Pete I think today is the day. Cougar Express always runs well but just can not bring himself to grace the winners enclosure, maybe he's scared of Adam McGrath's questionable fashion sense? Paseo Del Prado steps up to a genuine journey for the first time this preparation and has looked to be crying out for futher in recent runs.
