These ratings 70-plus sprints are highly-competitive affairs and this is no exception. The first six runners home in the corresponding race at Albany 26/12 finished within a length of each other and four of those horses are lining up here. After much consideration we finally settled on (6) MONTEVERDI who looked the winner when diving through between runners at Albany 26/12, before being beaten a head on the line by the in-form Catlantic. Hails from the astute Bruce Watkins yard, should get the run of the race from his good barrier and looks a terrific each-way investment. (5) TALK OF ANGELS got back in the field when resuming in this company at Albany 26/12, but was motoring home late and was a real eye-catcher. Has a tricky gate to contend with, but has a great winning strike rate and must be considered with only 54kg on her back. Stablemate (3) LE SACRE smoked his rivals in this company over 1420m at Albany 19/12, but this looks a little stronger and he does go up 3.5kg. Still warrants consideration, and another Paul Hunter-trained galloper (4) DU PRINTEMPS is always a chance in these events and shouldn't spend a dime in running from the inside barrier.
