Rive Gauche v Gladstone again
This is essentially a re run of the race from a fortnight ago when Rive Gauche led all the way to defeat Gladstone, Rive Gauche was certainly well fancied that day, and will possibly be punters elect once again today. No doubt Luck Warwick will hustle this horse forward from the outside barrier to lead the field, it may be a touch harder to do so than last time with the bend out of the home straight loomimg a little earlier, but no doubt he takes up the frontrunning eventually and boots away into the straight. Can Gladstone catch him today, well he meets him 1.5kgs better than a fortnight ago that probably brings him a little closer, but in the end will go for Rive Gauche to prevail again in another good tussle. Black Magic Miss stepped up in distance in the same race at her last start, she should go well again today and looks a very bright place prospect. Raising Dubai should finish closer than he did a fortnight ago as should Looking Ahead, this really is almost the same field that contested the race on July 12, they may finish in similar order to what they did on that afternoon.
