Cracking clash between Gangemi gelding Windswept and Warwick mare Wink and a Nod. Windswept has taken all before him this campaign, ran a cracker first-up when settling at the rear, reeling off a 33s final 600m and unable to make any real in-roads on a typically leader bias WA track. Second-up was sent straight to the front and lead from start to finish to record an impressive victory over highly talented McAuliffe gelding Rebel King. Last start Noske was smoking the pipe all the way and was cruising before tiring slightly late. Dropping back to 1300m looks ideal and he is definitely the one to beat. Wink and a Nod has always given the impression she should step out over further than 1200m and last start she wobbled round the corner and probably cost herself the race. Carrying a mere 53.5kg she will be breathing fire down Windswepts neck over the final furlong. New Time flies fresh and no surprise to see Stent kick him out of the barriers and put the accelerator down. Early quaddie: 1,4 / 1,2,4,8,9 / 1,3,7 / 1,4,9

I sat on my all ups after my initial winner. Was never a fan of Miki Two Shoes but god bless it today.
