Kia Ora Koutou has been 41s into 8s for the Victorian Derby after posting 5 straight WA victories. Dropping back from 2200 to 1500m this is effectively a trial race for mere fitness and a freshen up before heading East. He will probably be last coming round the corner and at Ascot is a real danger of not picking them up with such a short straight. Hopefully we can see his brilliance on display before flying the WA flag in the Derby. Key to Fame should be highly suited to the Ascot track. Should find the front with ease and from there looks hard to catch. Even money the place is probably the most attractive option in this race. Saxophonist returns first-up at 1500m and with the deadly combination of Kersley and Harvey engaged I think the 26s on offer are overs on a talented hore.
