Early double for Wolfe
It looks set to be a bright start to Albany Cup Day for the Steve Wolfe stable with (12) BETTSIE appearing to have her hoof on the till, after two slashing 1200-metre outings since returning from a spell. Screaming out for a longer journey and a better barrier, and she gets both of those here. We have her on top in a tricky mile maiden, with Bunbury visitor (5) DOOLAN next best after two encouraging efforts at his home track since returning from a break. Will relish the inner barrier draw after jumping from 14 and 13 at his past two starts. (2) KEY BLACK finished on (5) DOOLAN's heels at Bunbury 25/03 last start and has raced well at Albany in the past, and consistent filly (9) EMMA NOVEMBER shouldn't be left out of your First Fours.
