I'll be treating this race like a trip to the strippers, look but don't touch. I think it should be an excellent viewing race with a clash between highly touted gallopers Vega Magic and River Dance as well as New Zealand import Presentatie, regally bred Lonhro filly Jestajingle and the ever consistent and under-estimated Brisanto. I have absolutely no interest what so ever in being involved in this race from a betting perspective. The speed should be genuine with Presentatie, Vega Magic, Jestajingle and Jeundis all capable of locking horns in an early speed battle. Expecting Pike will ride Presentatie just off the speed and she will improve at 1200m. River Dance will hopefully settle a lot better than last start where he ruined both his own chances and those of Vega Magic. Vega Magic is now 0 from 3 at Belmont Park but the wraps are juicer than Subway. My advice on the race: Watch, Don't Touch.

Due to Baraki Beats poor form on rain effected ground, perhaps the stewards are concerned that connections thought there was no point going forward and pressuring the stablemate Gigante. I have no problem with that as long as punters are informed of the change...

From the stewards report:BARAKI BEATS – Raced wide for the majority of the event. Had a tendency to lay outwards throughout running. Jockey R. Hill was questioned in relation to the gelding racing in a rearward position today as compared to its normal racing...

Was there some dramatic betting fluctuations in some of the races from this program ? I'm told Stewards have adjourned an inquiry into Race 6. Wasn't the move in the price from just $9 to $8 ?

Yes Saxy can be in the finish. My selection is (not normally one of mine) Verdello Blue It is ready to run a race up in distance with the claim and is a great each way bet. Quinella it and Saxy Grace.
