Recode was ridden beutifully last week by Jo Azzopardi when flashing home to nail Benito and bring up his second straight win over the 1000 metres. The key to his chances are always the amount of pace on, last week Benito seemed hell bent on leading and that made sure of a decent speed up front, that played into Recodes hands. Connections will be hoping for something similar today, and with Pin Rouge, The Entourage and possibly Blacksmith they will hopefully get their wish, Recode is racing in such good form over the five furlongs its hard to tip against him winning again today. Another that should be running on is Fiddlers Elbow, having his first start for a couple of months and probably prefer over longer, but the Warwick combination is always one to reckon with these days and Fiddlers Elbow does possess lots of ability. Modello should really improve today, down in class from the Baeufine and with Paul Harvey engaged here, with another 1000 metre specialist in Jack'N'Sam the best of the rest.
