Galoubay finally draws a barrier

Galoubay has been excellent in both his runs this campaign at juicy eachway odds. Running third first up at $21 from barrier 14 Chris Parnham dragged back to last and got rolling late down the middle of the track finishing within a neck of Right Honourable. Second up at $18 he again was forced to settle back in the field from barrier 14 and Parnham elected to ride for luck, of which he got none, blocked for clear running and forced to change direction twice in the home straight. Once he saw daylight over the final 75m he hit the line with gusto. From barrier 6 he should settle much closer to the speed for the first time this preparation, has won third up previously and at Belmont over 1650. Looks a nice eachway prospect at $9. Satans Dancer was heavily supported second up in midweek company before putting in a lack lustre performance to say the least. Ridden quietly he snuck up along the cutaway rail to finish 5th beaten 2.75 lengths, never really given a winning hope. Pike jumps aboard for the first time and he does excel on Durrant trained horses. Expect sharp improvement from him. Fonzarelli has come of age this preparation and really since joining the Justin Warwick stable a year ago has rarely put in a bad performance. Has an awkward gate to overcome, Warwick has again chosen to claim with his in-form apprentice daughter, 'Fonz' will carry a competitive 54kg. Danish Delight seemed to relish the addition of blinkers to racing gear last start and rocketed to the line after settling back in the field behind tear leaders Hinzley and Amarna smashing out a 35:53 final 600 over the mile.
