Stravigo
Former NSW galloper Stravigo was originally a $170 000 Gold Coast yearling purchase and has found his way to WA after notching Canterbury and Randwick 1100m victories. Blinkers removed from race gear and trialled impressively he falls into a very winnable race at his WA debut. Happy to speculate on the Stratum gelding to an extent and put him on top. Thinking he will open up very short in the fixed odds market and potentially drift out to a backable price by the jump. Anything less than even money wouldn't be at all tempting so proceed with caution. Marchand is a super consistent type and should go close to running another cheeky placing at big odds. Bombs Away bounced back to winning form last start in mid-week company. Has an imposing record at the track and distance and I think will open up overs for a last start winner. Beyond those Dendee needs 1200m in my opinion and will likely be run off her feet early while Total Eclipse ran a fast finishing second in provincial grade and will need to step it up here.
