R2. Kingston Town Classic - December 5 Handicap - 1 January 1970

Proper Showing
I think third up from a spell we will see the Proper Properantes and from barrier 3 with only a moderate impost of 57kg Troy Turner should boot home another winner for the blossoming Webster stable. Meets Dark Musket 2kg worse and Palace Intruder 5kg worse for their first-up encounter behind Neverland on October 24 but had both those gallopers well and truely covered. I think they are the top 3 in the race and I've settled on Properantes to salute, winner of 3 from 6 at Ascot and 2 from 3 over a mile, perfectly placed and primed third-up. Palace Intruder as the value runner around the $8 mark, rapidly closing in on another victory and with Magic Jordan in the saddle only carries a postage stamp 52kg. Dark Musket looks ready for 2200m now and may find these a tad sharp.

Concern expressed about the firmness of the track on Super Saturday....don't know a whole lot about it but terms like "concrete" used and, it seemed to me, justifiable concern about soreness, jarring up etc. Well both Watermans and Magnificio backed up okay al...

Good work Darkhorse. Refreshing to read a positive comment about Ascot. I haven't been out there for a short while but will get out there in the very near future when time of work presents me with the opportunity.

I should add credit to O'Donnell for a clever ride yesterday.Credit also to H Bomber with those selections. Ripper Red was a very good run.

LW is a great "sit and steer" hoop. IMHO the best in this state. If she's on the best handicapped ( under our current pathetic system) horse in a race most times she will get it home.Doesn't seem to shine as much in competitive races when the pressure is on an...

Best for me also is Watermans Bay. Best each way Ive had a crack at Ripper Red in the last at $12. Found every bit of trouble possible last start and it is hard not to be seduced after watching the replay a few times. Main multi : Stocks PLACE into W...
