R2. Flying Colours Restaurant Handicap - 1 January 1970

Drought Broken
Outlaw Pete finally broke through for a deserved victory after a string of servicable performances in top class races. Steps up to 1800m here which looks to be in his favour and with in form claiming apprentice Clint Porter aboard will take a stack of beating. Saker was the testing material last start and should have possibly finished even closer than he did after Tan was forced to change directions half way down the straight. Should settle infront of Outlaw Pete this time and from there will be hard to catch. I think Cougar Nights will appreciate being back at 1800m. Looked tested at the staying journey when he seemed to loom up and then grind to the line. Back in distance should see the return of his sharp turn of foot. Handy little race where I think we can narrow it down to 3 winning hopes for the early quaddie players.
