Pour me a Musket
I'm the first bloke to question the Musket progeny but Dark Musket is one of my favourites and I think that he is perfectly place to make it 4 wins from 11 starts over 1800m in this moderate event. Efforts so far this campaign over seeminly unsuitable distances have been excellent and I think he can get the run of the race here for budding apprentice CJP and get the money. Beyond those I think that Steel Spur is over the odds at $13 and represents the value runner in the race. Carney was an emphatic winner last start and could easily settle last and pounce over the top of them if Blitzem Sunday runs them along. Lucy should ensure a genuine tempo on the Kersley gelding and he is nearing in on a maiden win for the new Loloma Farms trainer.

nothing lost in that engagement you'd think understatement or just being kind? :) Lucy was always going to end up on JT's, I think the booking of Lane is much more of a significant advantage to have him on other than any other of the locals... Pike to ...

Still in at 53kgs though - will they let him get away with robbery like he did on Saturday?Not a lot of ES raiders to make it a genuine run race - a standard Perth sit and sprint maybe :-?
