Doesn't get any easier
Onadowntowntrain could easily tare away and lead from start to finish without surprise, Dream Lifter is highly talented but probably suited better to 1200m+ but neither have made my top 3. I've settled on enigmatic Bob Turrell trained gelding Terkel who looks to have returned a calmer, more mature sprinter. Belmont is not his go and being able to walk across Matheson Rd to the track will see him much more relaxed. Last time in he arguably should have beaten Travinator first-up and has finished within 1.5 lengths of Thateldo and boasts five top 2 placings at Ascot and 2 wins from 3 first-up attempts. Going off how Riki Tiki Tavi is tracking Bobby is sure to have his favourite child wound up for this. Should get a lovely track into the race behind Onadowntowntrain. Pure Glamour is the first-up Queen, now with Adam Durrant, she has won 4 of her 5 first-up runs. No surprise to see her extend that to 5 from 6 after an electric trial. Big danger. Windswept has had issues since his eyecatching debut WA run, expecting a big run from the Snitzel gelding who was scratched numerous times during July after early pre-post support.
