Race Experience is worth lengths compared to trial form so on that basis it is hard to go past Next Generation who savaged the line last start after the break away leader Our Time Will Come lay out under pressure and ran diagonally up the track to get a closer look at the ladies in the front row. That inside pad turned out to be the place to be on the day so his win charging up along the rails was potentially aided by the track bias however this race lacks depth and he stands out as the one to beat. Simon Miller has a sharp team of juveniles as was evidenced on Wednesday with the ultra impressive Snitzel filly High Conviction winning at $1.30. Royal Missile was a $270 000 yearling purchase for Aquinta Racing at the Inglis Sales and the Smart Missile filly is a half sister to former Group 1 winner Turffontein. A very impressive and expensive family she was a lot sharper in her recent trial after the addition of Blinkers to race gear. Expect her to fire across (pardon the pun) and try to find the lead. Veuve De Vega was disappointing last start but settled a long way back on a leader bias track, can improve drawn the inside.

Watching a few replays having been out on the Golf course all afternoon. The Demerit's again look like real value horses. Minus Looks hit the line very well and may have a bright future.Vega Magic is a star in the making.

Yes Legless, Lucy just sat on it nice and quiet. Those demons are playing well, although I find them hard to tip correctly.
