On paper this looks like a race in which the two favourites will have a stranglehold over the market and finish accordingly. Boom Snitzel filly High Conviction was all the rage first up in midweek grade and ran accordingly cantering home for an impressive victory. Paul Harvey retains the mount aboard the Miller galloper and even though she is drawn barrier 8 of 8 should have the necessary speed to fire across and either lead or bunch the breeze. From there she controls the race and will be hard to beat. Dainty Tess is all class and from barrier 1 gets a lovely tow into the race behind the leaders. If High Conviction is paddling late then Dainty Tess will be the one pulling out around her heels to give chase. Those two should boot well away from the rest and run the $1.10 quinella. Next Generation is the best of the rest who look mainly midweek and provincial types.
