W.Pike Show

This opening race could easily turn into an extension of the Saturday William Pike show with Sweet Ora looking to bounce back after a completely luckless debut run. Shuffled back to almost last on the fence she was turned sideways coming round the corner and the punters left their dosh in the bookies ring. She looked as though she was ready to really unleash at that stage and given a softer run from a gun barrier, an extra 100m to wind up and the best hoop in the State on board I'll give her the nod. Simon Miller is a noted early sprint trainer so expect his $70 000 Artie Schiller newcomer to be ready to rock and roll. Our Time Will Come should find the fence and is 1 from 1, Paul Jordan is easily top three in terms of 2 year old trainers. Those 3 look the standouts.

one big stable monopolising like that cannot be good for the sport. I dont know in what other industry that domination by one big player is healthy for the industry as a whole? Despite bob's dominance again yesterday, it was good to see a couple of battle...

One of the rules that Bob and others leaders in the car industry instilled into me, was that if you always do what you have always done, you will only get what you have always got. He doesn't get it always right, he is on a remarkable run of success at the mom...

How many folks will leave the Industry though in the meantime ? I wont leave the industry per say, but i wont be adding anymore horses in the meantime. As i said last week, there is no point. He is winning everything and me with a fixed budget cant compete....

Ol Peters is just killing it and I cannot see Pike riding anything else in Perth Cup. We keep backing against Peters but he is killing it Illuminated

I hope Peters' absolutely dominates for a while. Will force a purge of some of the absolute tripe that breeds here. Spot on
