Selections

(1) SONNY BISCAY has been the in-form horse in the Great Southern open-class ranks so far this season, winning two and placing once from his four starts, and he looks like posting the 13th win of his career here. Teenage apprentice Clint Johnston-Porter, who rode four winners in three days last week, will take 3kg off his back and should be able to keep him out of trouble in this small field. The free-wheeling (3) ALVARES is the only danger, with senior rider Shaun McGruddy replacing Natasha Faithfull, but (1) SONNY BISCAY has had his measure of late and that looks likely to continue here. (4) LE SACRE is on the quick back-up after finding his rivals a bit slick at Ascot last Saturday, but he looks much better placed back in this company. Distance is a little outside his range and the place looks best, and we are expecting improvement from (5) CATZILLA who got a long way out of her ground first-up at Mount Barker 5/12.

She Bares All gets in well here. Expected around $2.5-$3. Currently around $5 fixed and I can't let it go by.
