I'm going to go with the Pontiff to make it 2-0 in the Pike vs Pontiff Stakes with Outlaw Pete to notch a third career victory from just 4 starts. Outlaw Pete was beaten by over 4 lengths in a recent trial but he was well held and it was a very, very quick time recorded by Flytego who resumes in the opening meeting at Bunbury on Sunday and looks hard to beat. Knocked off Silver Magic Ships in an impressive chasing performance on August 30 and is surely on the road to a crack at the Guineas. Very Special looks to be just that, a very special type and the main danger. You can do a lot worse than backing Pike in the Get Out Stakes. Was jumping on their backs and flying like Jeremy Howe in a recent trial and is a talented, lightly raced type. Max Almighty has run some more than handy races in his career including knocking off Crown Lawyer and running third to Cool Trade at Ascot earlier this year. Magnus Missile should lead them from stablemate Marmaa and is looking to notch a fourth straight win. Finally, good luck to Legless and Hash as they punt $300 each in the inaugural PTT Punters Club.
