As you have heard the poor thing has had a horror run, has just got over another bout of some bug.
Looking at the trail its last run, on Monday.
It got beaten buy Key Biscuit, nothing great - but was its 2nd trail and fit.
Where Dantes was needing a run or 2, going by times - not to bad considering it wasn't pushed.
Will only be improved.
a GOOD sign was before the trail the jock was having a hard time controlling him.
Will see, of course I'll have a small bet on him but I always do.
However , I do think FYEO or Moonlight drive , will fight it out - Back in Black also.
But anything could win
must have taken 2 bets of $20

You think stewards could have asked the question at some stage after riders were meant to be named - Im sure they will be quick to dish out a fine tho.
FYEO will also get a perfect sit (hopefully not on the fence) and should win again.
Belmont 7th August 2010
Race 1-
Difficult race to assess with only a handful of horses worth a mention.
#1 Cold Handel clear top pick followed by an evenly matched #4 Twilight Obsession, #3 Courageous Show and #2 Auburn Streak.
Race 2-
I really like #2 Gold Rocks here and she should make it 2 from 2 back at home. #1 Rock My Pago the only danger.
Race 3-
The top two #1 Battle Emblem and #2 Brave Knight look to have the race between them. #5 Cohort, #7 Full Moon and #8 Kim Star are next best.
Race 4-
Hard to go past #1 Megem's Boy, rated a 13/4 chance. A host of others can fill a place including 4,5,9,10,11.
Race 5-
Tough race!! #1 Lie In Wait just gets the nod with the claim for Chatfield. #5 King Kool Kat is low flying at present and no reason he cant win again. #6 Black George, #10 Dante's Alert and #11 Dino Mak all have a chance in an interesting first leg of the quaddie.
Race 6-
Keen on #2 Solidwickedcruel here who is racing well. There are a couple of dangers however, mainly #12 Reimbursement and #10 Bizzaca.
Race 7-
Feature race of the day, the Belmont Newmarket. #4 For Your Eyes Only appeals greatly as I have him rated at around the $3.00 mark. #2 Dante's Volonte rated around the 8-1 mark. Host of chances down the bottom with numbers 7,8,9,10,11 all having even claims in a nice race.
Race 8-
Most of you would be thinking I will be tipping my namesake but unfortunatly I've slotted him in for second. #2 Yabigorse goes in on top at around 5/2. My boy #3 Hermosa Corona slots in second after a nice win at a midweek. A couple of each way hopes include #4 Haagen and #9 Steves pick, both at around the 11-1 and 7-1 mark.

In R2 Gold Rocks to lead throughout.
In R3 Cohort has been disappointing but from the good barrier over a suitable distance surely should run at least a place??
In R4 the problem with Megem's Boy is that it'll be buried back on the rails and Yuill will need to weave some magic. If I can get $7 I'll have a dig :)

The new FYEO taking a sit has improved her a couple IMHO, and clearly improved her distance scope by furlongs.
Interesting pointer - reverts to leader mode first up and gets rolled easily . . .
Personally I see FYEO as being a risk. Don't get me wrong, I love backing favourites but she goes up in weight and there are some handy horses in this field. I can't see her repeating her sizzling last performance.
Surely better than $3 will be available on the day!
Gold Rock should win, but a ? with the 7 day back-up after its 1st up run.
